March 26 & 27, 2010
It is
estimated that more than one in 100 families have
children with autism. Some
of the common signs are repetitive behaviors,
disengaging from family members,
and even loss of speech. There is help,
and there is hope, for families and
their children. The Autism Society
of Greater Phoenix is hosting their 11th
Annual Autism / Asperger's Conference at the Phoenix Convention Center.
This year's conference
brings some of the most powerful speakers from the
autism community,
including Jed Baker, award winning author of No More
Meltdowns and
Eustacia Cutler, mother of Temple Grandin and author of a Thorn
in My
Pocket. Workshops throughout the day feature over 30 additional
speakers.
